ABOUT THE PLAY
David, a young writer, arrives in Poland full of self-doubt to stay with his 75 year-old second cousin Maria, hoping a change in scenery will cure his writer's block. Maria, desperate to connect with her distant American family, interrupts his solitude and challenges his values. As their relationship develops, revelations about Maria complicated post-war past test their ideas of what it means to be a family.
David: I don't think that blood is necessarily so important.
Maria: So you no think is important? Family like this? Real blood?
